Biography
Carol has been a member of the Alaska tourism industry for over 20 years.  She received her start in the industry at the former Best Western Barratt Inn as sales manager in her early 20s.  She quickly fell in love with the hotel/hospitality industry and knew it was her lifelong calling.  In 1998, Carol and her business partner developed the Aspen Hotel chain and then sold it to Extended Stay Hotels in 2005.  The chain has been slowly rebuilding and is now set to open its 6th Aspen in Sitka in mid July.
